Remembrance Day

Attending Remembrance Day cenotaph ceremonies is an important expression of Masonic values. Freemasonry places a high regard on honour, duty, and remembrance—principles that align closely with the purpose of these solemn gatherings. By attending, Freemasons publicly acknowledge the sacrifices made by those who served and died in the defense of freedom, many of whom were Masons themselves. It is a visible act of respect and gratitude, reinforcing the Craft’s long-standing support of service to country and community.

Moreover, Freemasons are encouraged to lead by example within society, promoting unity, reflection, and moral responsibility. Participating in Remembrance Day ceremonies not only honours the fallen but also helps preserve historical memory for future generations. It is an opportunity to demonstrate solidarity with the broader community, to show that the tenets of brotherly love, relief, and truth are not confined to lodge walls, but are actively lived in service and remembrance beyond them.

If your lodge is not laying a wreath, please reach out and contact a lodge below to participate in their wreath laying ceremony.
We are encouraging all Masons to participate in a wreath laying ceremony that is convenient to them and to include another brother.
